I am sure that you will enjoy this latest FYI Newsletter of the GGI Best Practices for Professional Service Organizations (Best Practices) Practice Group (PG). I am always impressed by the knowledge and creativity of our members at GGI. As a reminder, it is this PG's mission to create a forum where GGI members can share their best practices so we can learn from one another. Iron sharpens iron!
This newsletter is full of cutting-edge information. In our lead article, member firm MGA Milano Global Advisors explains the background as well as the pluses and minuses of the DeFi financial system. While many of you may not be familiar with this term, it is the name of the financial system that uses blockchain, crypto currencies, NFTs and other forms of digital currency. The authors have done an excellent job of providing an overview of what for many is a complex and emerging system that all our clients need to know more about. We then have a very thought-proving article about the metaverse and how our current system of laws and social norms could be impacted by this digital world. We also have a timely article that helps all of us understand what we need to do to keep our systems safe and secure. For those of you who want to learn from our partners about growth, we have two articles reviewing the factors needed for growth and how to leverage opportunities by outsourcing the support needed to get the job done.
In this newsletter there really is something to learn for everyone. I want to thank all of our contributors for sharing their expertise and I encourage you to follow up with them directly if you have questions or want to learn more about the information in their article. If you are interested in joining this PG or if you have a best practice that you would like to share with the group in the next newsletter or at a GGI conference in 2023, please let me know.
Kind regards
