Timothy C. Lynch
Welcome to the Spring 2024 edition of the GGI FYI Best Practices for Professional Service Organisation Practice Group News. The mission of this practice group is to create a forum where GGI members can share their best practices with one another so that we can learn from each. The breadth of knowledge and the talent in this group is remarkable and inspiring.
We have submissions from all over the globe with contributions from consultants, lawyers and accountants, which is emblematic of the scope and reach of our practice group. In our lead article, Penteris, one of our Polish member firms explores the effectiveness and costs associated with the longevity of Hybrid work. I do not want to give away the conclusions here but it will come as no surprise that the younger generation wants it but it sometimes the too much of it creates a high cost in the form of a lonely work environment, which can lead to burnout. Yours truly provided an article that addresses some of the demographic and generational issues that have served and will continue to serve as the root cause of the tight labor market that is confronting the world of professional services. It is not all doom and gloom though as I offer some strategies that thought leaders have developed to combat this challenge that most of us face.
MGA, one of our Italian members offers an illuminating article on the development of digital currency and the opportunities for growth and liquidity that it offers to our members and their clients. One of our UK members provides an instructive article on what you need to know about the key documents needed when doing a deal in the UK. Last but not least, one of our members in Mexico, articulately writes about the importance of continuing to learn in the complex arena of estate planning and tax especially in light of ever-evolving laws and financial products that are being developed.
I thank all of our contributors for sharing their expertise and I encourage all of you to follow up with them if you have questions or want to learn more about the information in their article. If you have interest in joining this practice group or if you have a best practice that you would like to share with the group via the next newsletter or at one of conferences, please let me know.
Kind regards
