Timothy C. Lynch
Welcome to the January 2025 edition of our GGI FYI Best Practices News, produced by the Practice Group Best Practices for Professional Service Organisations. The mission of this practice group is to create a forum where GGI members can share their best practices with one another so that we can learn from each. The power of the GGI alliance is very strong. I am always impressed by the insight and thought leadership of our members.
We have submissions from members spanning 4 continents and 5 countries with contributions from consultants, lawyers and accountants, which is emblematic of the scope and reach of our practice group. In our lead article, Christine Hollinden, Hollinden | inbound + strategists, TX, USA, discusses how GGI members can navigate the AI marketing trend and how to avoid the risk of automation as we try to harness the power of AI. Eliz Özer, Finansal Eksen Independent Audit & Consulting Inc, Turkey, wrote an article about the importance of IT Audits for companies involved in cryptocurrency. One of the surprising facts for me is the relatively high percentage of people and businesses that are involved with crypto. Joe English, Taylor English Duma LLP, GA, USA, wrote an excellent article on client engagement in our post-COVID and the importance of transparent and consistent touchpoints with clients and potential clients.
Raf Uzar, Penteris, Poland, wrote an informative article on the differing leadership styles. Raf concludes the best leaders are able to utilise different leadership styles depending on the situation that they are confronting as well as the culture of the firm. Chris Fieschko, Hyde Park Capital, FL, USA, wrote an article about best practices when it comes to getting your company valued – especially in today’s volatile marketplace. Chris provides insightful information about different valuation techniques that our clients should consider when thinking about selling their business. Alfira Fazriananda and Wulan Kusuma, Protemus Capital, Indonesia, wrote an insightful article about the future of collaborative due diligence and explain how Virtual Data Rooms work to help by centrally storing and managing data as well as to analyse key data. Paul Jones of Nolands Foundation, South Africa, closes out our magazine with an uplifting article about how GGI members and our clients can create hope by forming foundations that cultivate positive change and opportunity in our communities.
I thank all of our contributors for sharing their expertise and I encourage all of you to follow up with them if you have questions or want to learn more about the information in their article. If you have interest in joining this practice group or if you have a best practice that you would like to share with the group via the next newsletter or at one of conferences, please let me know.
Kind regards
