It is my continuing honour to serve as the Global Chairperson of the GGI Debt Collection, Restructuring and Insolvency (DCRI) Practice Group. Our Practice Group has continued to expand, and, in collaboration of other Practice Groups, I believe we have expanded knowledge of our capabilities and experience to other GGI members. As an example, at the 2023 World Conference in Lisbon, the DCRI Practice Group made a joint presentation with the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group which was extremely well attended, and provided a platform for members of both Practice Groups to participate and provide suggestions for future programmes.
The GGI European Regional Conference will take place in Malta this year, and, as always, promises to be a well-attended opportunity for GGI members to network and interact with their fellow GGI colleagues. The DCRI Practice Group will host a meeting at the conference, chaired by Mario Kapp. I encourage DCRI members to attend and participate in the programme. If history is any guide, I’m confident that Mario’s presentation will be both thought-provoking and topical.

We are always looking for members to submit articles, as a piece in the newsletter is an excellent way to market you and your firm, and share interesting information or recent developments with your fellow GGI members. I urge DCRI members, or any GGI member, to write an article to be included in the next newsletter. Articles are limited in length, and shouldn’t require a substantial amount of time to prepare.
