In 2017, the #MeToo movement went viral worldwide. Kevin Spacey, Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby have been accused, and at least two of them have been found guilty of transgressive behaviour at work. Since the movement became more known, sexual harassment at work is reported earlier. In the Netherlands, probably the biggest exposure of transgression in the workplace happened at the beginning of this year, behind the scenes of The Voice of Holland. Despite the #MeToo movement, the judiciary is still falling behind in this area. The Supreme Court in the Netherlands recently determined that there is no firm rule whether transgressive behaviour is seriously culpable or not.In this autumn issue, you will also find articles about the new Whistleblower Protection Act that will apply in Germany as of 01 January 2023. Whistleblowers do not have specific legal protection in Germany yet. Another intriguing article is about the monitoring of employees' electronic activities. What rules should employers follow?
