Steve McCrindle
This edition of GGI FYI Indirect Taxes News features contributions from Spain, Germany, Poland, China, Italy, Australia, UK, the Netherlands and Russia, including articles from new as well as regular contributors.
By the end of this year, I will have worked in VAT consulting for 40 years and with that experience it would be easy to assume that I know a lot about indirect taxes. While this may be true when compared with someone beginning a career in indirect taxes, my view is that I am continually learning -- likely every day -- and that learning comes partly from my role as the editor of this newsletter.
All the articles in this edition are very interesting, and I find some of them fascinating. Where else can you read about Chinese VAT refund policies, new Russian customs valuation policies, and discussion on the potential impact in Australia of GST levies on frozen vegetables, in one concise document? The Indirect Taxes Practice Group is truly global in it’s membership and reach.
Please take time to read this newsletter.
My sincere thanks to all contributors.
Happy reading!
Kind regards,
Steve McCrindleResponsible Editor & Global Chair of the GGI Indirect Taxes Practice Group
