In order to strengthen the quality of its services and a sustained growth of its clientele, the DALDEWOLF office in Kinshasa is now organised into two divisions: one for litigation and the other for corporate law. On this occasion, the firm has appointed two new counsels: Valéry-Giscard Mubiala Malela, who will be the Coordinator of the Litigation Division in the DRC, and Guélord Mosau Mbombo, who will be Co-coordinator of the Corporate Law Division in the DRC.
Valéry-Giscard Mubiala Malela is a member of the Kinshasa/Matete bar (Democratic Republic of Congo, 2005). He is active in litigation. A respected pleader, Valéry practices daily in various areas of litigation in the DRC, particularly in commercial litigation, banking litigation, labour litigation, land and real estate litigation, and business criminal law. Moreover, having been a bank lawyer for more than two years in Kinshasa, he masters banking law, security law, and company law. “Valéry’s promotion is a reflection of the respect his career inspires. He is a trusted specialist to coordinate the Litigation Division, perfect the training of the team, and further increase the reputation of our practice in the jurisdiction”, commented Romain Battajon, the head of the Kinshasa office of DALDEWOLF.
Guélord Mosau Mbombo is a lawyer at the Bar of Kinshasa/Matete (Democratic Republic of Congo, 2018). He practices business law and public law in the Kinshasa office. He joined the legal profession after several years of professional experience within Congolese private companies and provincial public establishments in the Democratic Republic of Congo (Provincial Government of the Oriental Province), which enabled him to develop extensive experience in OHADA law, public procurement law, and mining law. For Laetitia De Smet, a Partner of the firm who will be the Co-coordinator of the Corporate Law Division in the DRC with him, “Guélord was able to take advantage of his arrival at the firm to strengthen his particular expertise for complex transactions, including for PPPs and for mining law. He is a specialist with whom I look forward to developing excellence in service to our clients.”
Patrick De Wolf, Managing Partner, declared that “Excellence requires the specialisation and training of our employees, in the Democratic Republic of Congo as everywhere where our lawyers serve the interests of our clients. Valéry and Guélord are talented lawyers, who have demonstrated that both the partners and associates of the firm and our clients can place the greatest trust in them.”
