We are really excited to introduce you to our new-format digital publications, which some of you may have already seen applied to the FYI Autumn Newsletters of various Practice Groups. We love them, as not only are they more dynamic, engaging, shareable, and interactive, but they are also far more user-friendly and intuitive. It's really easy to share an article, get touch with an author of an article, or connect directly with any of your GGI colleagues if they are featured in an article. We hope you enjoy reading this new-format GGI INSIDER.
As the year draws to a close, the main GGI conferences for 2022 have come and gone and plans for next year are already being set in motion.
Discover more about GGI World Conference in Montréal, Canada, on page 16. At this event, three of our member firms were presented with the GGI Member Firm of the Year award. We sincerely congratulate all the winning firms! And invite you to find out more about each firm in this issue of INSIDER, on page 5.
Nominations for the 2023 awards are now open — don’t miss out on the chance to nominate a deserving GGI member.
You can read about the upcoming GGI Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Bangkok, as well as our GGI Best Practices | Marketing Professionals | Developing Leaders Conference in Nassau, The Bahamas, which will also include a GGI ITPG Global Tax Summit and a GCG M&A Dealmakers Meeting. In February, members from the Middle East African region will get to meet up with each other at the GGI MEA Regional Conference in Dubai. GGI members who are interested in doing business in the MEA region are also very welcome to join the event.
As always, we have put together a wide variety of articles that should make for interesting reading.
Richard Collins (CSR-Accreditation, UK), a Keynote Speaker at the GGI European Regional Conference in Limassol earlier this year, analyses today’s workplaces and the growing problem of employee engagement, retention and recruitment. Read what can be done to hire good staff and keep them satisfied. Camilo J. Gaona (FRG Auditores y Consultores S.A.S., Colombia) provides some tips for reviewing wealth management strategies during these uncertain times, and Maria Ruberto and Anna Esposito (both from Pallett Valo, Canada) inform on an interesting court decision: “Prejudice to innocent third parties not an absolute bar to rescission”.
From page 11 onwards, stay informed about GGI members’ news and success stories.
Finally, we wanted to let you know that our Head Office in Zurich, Switzerland, will be closed from Monday, 19 December 2022, for the holiday season. The office will reopen on Tuesday, 03 January 2023.
We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon and would like to wish everybody a relaxing and peaceful festive period. We hope that you will all be blessed with health and happiness over the holidays. May you, your families, and your friends keep safe and well — and may you also have a great start to a healthy, prosperous, and happy New Year 2023.
