Daughney serves as general counsel and a trusted advisor to clients who benefit from his multidisciplinary experience. He provides experienced guidance to his clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, general corporate law, and broker-dealer regulation. Mr Daughney represents issuers and investors in a wide range of corporate transactions, including securities offerings, seed capital offerings, venture capital financings, and other forms of private equity investment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, recapitalisations, and spin-outs. He provides counsel to public companies (domestic and foreign) in connection with their public offerings, PIPE financings, Securities and Exchange Act reporting requirements, regulatory compliance (including ongoing compliance with the SEC, NYSE, NASDAQ, FINRA and state securities laws), and general corporate governance matters. In addition to his practice, Mr Daughney also served as the mayor of the Village of Garden City from 2017–2019, and as a village trustee for eleven years. He earned his JD from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, 23 February 2023 — Timothy L. Gustin and Christopher D. Stall were elected to three-year terms as members of the board of directors of the professional association Moss & Barnett effective 01 January 2023.
Gustin serves as the chair of the board of directors and as chair of the firm’s Real Estate Finance and Real Estate Practice Groups. He represents lenders who finance office, industrial, hospitality, retail, self-storage, and multifamily projects. Many of the multifamily loans are sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and pooled into securitisation trusts. Gustin also works with buyers and sellers in all phases of the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate, and represents landlords and tenants in negotiating and drafting commercial leases.
Stall serves as a director and as chair the firm’s Commercial Department and Business Law Practice Group. He focuses on advising businesses regarding management, governance, and transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Chris works with clients in a spectrum of industries, including insurance, investment advisors, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, transportation, and professional service firms.
Gustin and Stall will each continue practising law on a full-time basis in addition to handling their management responsibilities. They are joined on the board by co-directors, John P. Boyle, Jana Aune Deach, Brian T. Grogan, and James J. Vedder.

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to our short survey as to what steps the UK should take to improve matters regarding reciprocal recognition and enforcement of judgments in commercial matters.We submitted the aggregated results of GGI colleagues who responded to the firm’s survey based on the questions posed in the consultation, encouraging the UK Government to sign up to the Hague Convention as soon as possible. We broadly concur with the Law Society’s view “there are many benefits and no downsides to the UK becoming a contracting state to the Convention”. However whilst a very positive step, the UK should continue with efforts to re-join the Lugano Convention as the preferable framework for rules on jurisdiction and enforcement of judgments between the UK and the EU/EFTA states, being broader in scope than Hague 2019. There are a number of significant exclusions from the scope of the subject matter of Hague 2019 such as contracts relating to the carriage of passengers and goods; insolvency; intellectual property; maintenance obligations and family lawmatters. Such matters will remain subject to domestic rules for recognition and enforcement requiring detailed legal advice.A full copy of Ward Hadaway LLP’s response can be found here.
