Medellín: Strategic epicentre for connecting, growing, and strengthening our global network
In a previous article, we explored the analogy of the “carajillo” – a shot of coffee– as a reflection of successful business synergies. Today, the invitation to our GGI Latin American Regional Conference in Medellin, Colombia (19–22 June 2025) represents an even more significant opportunity: the convergence of eighteen nations, articulated in four regions, and represented by 30 firms and more than 60 participants.

Mark your calendars – the GGI North American Regional Conference is landing in Atlanta from 26 to 29 June, and we’re gearing up for a few unforgettable days of connection, collaboration, and Southern charm.
This year, we’ll be hosted at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, located in the heart of Midtown. Known for its refined atmosphere and contemporary elegance, the venue offers an ideal setting for our conference.
We’re especially excited about this year’s line-up of keynote speakers on Friday morning. Firstly, Michael Weidokal, a sought-after global economic forecaster, will break down the geopolitical and economic forces shaping the world today. Known for his spot-on predictions, Michael will share his forecast for what lies ahead – and what it means for business leaders navigating uncertainty.
He will be followed by Mohamed Massaquoi, former NFL wide receiver turned organizational psychologist, who will speak on “Working Together in a Competitive World.” After a life-changing accident, Mohamed has focused his work on helping organizations build stronger, more adaptable teams. His talk will be personal, insightful, and packed with lessons on leadership, resilience, and embracing change.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a GGI conference without our Expert Group sessions. Whether you are catching up on healthcare or international tax developments, talking strategy in M&A, or swapping ideas on best practices or business development, these sessions are a great way to learn from one another and connect with peers in your (or related) practice areas.
During this conference, the GGI Divorce & Family Law Special Interest Group, led by Jane Keir (from GGI member firm Kingsley Napley in London, UK) will be meeting in-person for the first time. If you haven't signed up for the conference, do make sure to do so as soon as possible to connect with your GGI colleagues in this practice area and to help shape the leadership of the group going forward.
